Where you will have your wedding is so important because you will literally be creating wonderful forever memories here. No need to fear because as a Georgia Wedding Photographer, I have been to a number of weddings! This list will help you narrow down your venues if you are looking for affordable, unique Georgia Wedding Venues with a lot of personality! When deciding on any venue it can feel a little overwhelming with all the options that are out there. With my experience working many Georgia weddings as well as planning my own for most of 2023 I’m going to help you out! It really just comes down to location and budget.
First you and your partner should make sure that you prioritize the things that matter the most to you both and set a budget for the wedding. Most of your budget is going to feel like it’s going go towards your venue. That’s true, but it is important to take your time and consider all your options.
There is obviously so much more that goes into choosing your venue but setting your budget will narrow down a lot of options. This can mean different things. For example, do you want a venue that will take care and provide everything? Do you want your budget to only include the space itself? If you are having a destination wedding, I highly recommend you look into the venues that provide a full service. It takes a lot of pressure of off you and allows more time to enjoy the day. Here are some venues that I recommend looking into if you want a full service.
Edison, GA
This brings us to a venue that is near and dear to my heart. I got married here ya’ll! If you are into the whole rustic but elegant vibe then Nubbintown Farms is for you. The thing that sold us on this venue was that even though it is a 3-hour drive from the city, they set the whole venue aside for you for the whole weekend! Our family and friends were able to spend the whole weekend with us at the little cabins they provided. We got the whole place to ourselves from Friday-Sunday and had just the best time because it felt like a little vacation. Not to mention our hosts were the sweetest people ever and they offer full services from decor to catering and have a wide range of options for you to choose from. Okay I know I’ve been practically gushing but I highly recommend checking them out if you don’t mind the drive!
Athens, GA
If you want a space that has a lot of charm, then look no further. The State Botanical Garden of Georgia is super unique, beautiful, and is literally already decorated for you. This is a space that requires minimal planning when it comes to decor because its just filled with so much greenery all year round. It has definitely been one of my favorite venues so far not to mention it was very affordable and I will forever recommend it. Like just look at this Nick & Giovanna’s Wedding!! It’s giving elegant greenhouse!
Which brings me to my next thing, location is so important looking into venues. You have to ask yourself if you want a destination wedding or a wedding closer to you? Are your guests going to be comfortable? Can you or the venue provide services to accommodate that many family members? There’s so many Georgia Wedding Venues that have their own cabins or hotels so make sure to ask that when you tour the venue if you are going to be traveling. Anything closer to the city is going to be more expensive simply because of the proximity to Atlanta. Here are some gorgeous locations in and around Atlanta that might be worth looking into if you decide to have your wedding here.
Atlanta, GA
Upstairs Atlanta is a gorgeous Georgia wedding venue and is conveniently located in the heart of Atlanta, so the location is the key for this one if you want something close to the city. I cannot even begin to tell you how beautiful it is! One of my friends got married here and they can’t say enough good things about the staff and how sweet and accommodating everyone was with them. In my opinion this is super important for something like your wedding day. If you don’t believe me, just check out Fernando & Ella’s wedding gallery for yourself!
Marietta, GA
Nothing says elegant like The Foxglove. The vibes are immaculate, and it is the perfect mix of modern, and timeless. There is so much you can do at this venue and its perfect for you is you are not sure if you want to do an indoor or outdoor ceremony and reception. My favorite part of this one is the patio area which gives garden/backyard wedding vibes and looks so so beautiful at night with the fairy lights. Just imagine a candlelit dinner here? *chefs kiss*. It is super close to the city and easily one of the more affordable options.
There you have it. I know there are many more Georgia Wedding Venues out there so if you’re stuck and still are not that convinced then you can always contact me, and I’ll send you more recommendations for free if you have something specific in mind!
